Located the hotel via AAA TourBook on our return from the Indy 500. Their rates were not in agreement with the TourBook, but I checked the book and discovered that AAA gave us the 2007 edition. We were very supprised to told by the front desk that the establishment had been open ten years, as the condition of the property was 'like new'. As we were 'in and out', we did not try the pool or exercise facilities, so have on opinion there. My wife and I were happy to have found the place.

called and reserved room 3 weeks prior to stay. the staff member who took my reservation said we did not need to give her our credit card information, we could just pay for the stay @ check-in. I called 1 week prior to our stay to confirm our reservation and was told all was well and reservation was valid. When we arrived to check into our room, the girl @ the front desk did not have our reservation and said that we were actually booked for the night prior. Throughout the whole conversation, she kept saying how she hated working the shift she was working. Luckily, they had a room for us and we began the check-in process. We were asked for a credit card number and we told her we only had cash, were told we did not need a credit card, she would not allow us to stay paying cash. Called the manager and the manager said they were under no circumstances allow to accept cash. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told I would have to call back Monday through Friday to speak to a manager. THANK GOD for the Hampton Inn just across the parking lot. This was a blessing in disguise!!! Will never patronize a Comfort Inn!!!!! Shame on them, who ever heard of not accepting cash. This should have been clearly stated when I made the reservation over the telephone and they would not accept any credit card info.

WE checked in to find the hotel room a little diry but ok. We had a missing light bulb in a key lamp, and a used shampoo bottle in the shower.
The bed was the biggest downfall.
I opened it up and found that the maid had brought a king size fitted sheet into a room with a double. Instead of exchanging it she tryed to make it fit by attatching one cotner and leaving the rest klaying on the mattress pad. The top sheet was then layed over it and tucked at the bottom like normal. I had to completely strip the bed to the mattress pad and make it up myself tucking ubder the excess fitted sheet. Just what I dont want to do in hotel ...... make up my own bed. -
Home away from home
10/04/2006During 10 days of travel, staying in a different hotel each night, this was by far the best bang-for-the-buck! try the jacuzzi room.

We've stayed at this Comfort Inn in July for several years now. The kids love the pool; we all love the breakfast.The personnel are incredibly friendly and accomodating. The only drawback is that it costs a little more than other hotels in the area.Nonetheless, we've had exceptional experiences there and are planning to be there this coming July as well.
