No parking period. Buildings are as old as time and the place reeked of alcohol (and we were outside!). Hotel is not the cleanest I have ever seen. What I might have thought of as a great flop house for partying when I was 21 is a dump at 40, At $ plus a night there are many other places around I would rather stay and will next time.

The place screams ""Spring Break"". Typical of older Lauderdale motels. 50s vintage 2 story buidings with cheaply done updates. Rooms vary from tight spaces with 2 beds to spacious efficiencies. Clean but old. Three buuildings in all. The ""separate"" buidlings are right across a quiet street from the main building with restaurant/bar and pool. Those are probably better for families. Quality of rooms is the same in each building. Good food and great view of the marina from the restaurant and bar. Friendly, casual place to relax and have a drink. Music at the bar gets WAY too loud some nights. Water taxi is a short walk away. Public beach with kids playground is an easy walk across the street. Bars on the strip start about a half mile walk up A1A. Parking at hotel is mayhem at night so you've got to use valet. They were busy and helpful. Sheridan Yankee Clipper and Bahia Mar are nearby but we'd stay here again for the price.

PROS: Room relatively clean; beach across the street, easy access; hotel restaurant (Bahia Cabana) is nothing special - although it has a very good and cheap breakfast menu - but has a nice view of the yachts at Bahia Mar; pool is heated; not far from restaurants and bars; good price; quiet (at least in our part); close to Water Taxi stop CONS: Rooms not exactly in perfect shape; housekeeping staff stingy on number of towels; had a hard time getting hot water for shower one morning (I think we were located near the staff's washer/dryer room); pool was nice, but doesn't get a lot of sun - have to go to the beach for that OVERALL: I saw one reviewer complain about being in a separate building from the office - I think that's probably the best thing. The restaurant does bring in a lot of locals, and the rooms near there are likely pretty noisy. Our building, however, was quiet. So location matters. Definitely close to the beach, so that was our favorite thing. This is one of those places where if you're just looking for a place to sleep, it's a solid choice - if you want more, look elsewhere.

i have stayed here several times before leaving on a cruise (more than 4 so far) i came with friends the first 2 times and brought friends and family the next 2 or 3. I am planning to stay again this May with my daughter and great-grandson for their second time this May. Always fun!!Good food Good drinks and great music. You can't get more for your $$$ in any state.
i lived in California the first few times I visited with friends from Washington State and believe me they could have stayed in ANY hotel in Florida but chose the Bahia Cabana.
Keep up the good work the ambiance is wonderful! -
